Assessing the severity of coral bleaching (Bleached coral = coral that turns white)

When the sea temperature rises

Corals will stress,
causing the color to fade

Until it turns white

And eventually die if the water temperature
Too high for a long time

Therefore, only the amount of coral that has changed to white is the index of the severity of coral bleaching.

(Should survey at least 2 times / area: 1st time during coral bleaching and 2nd time during coral recovery / death Which is the period when the water temperature enters normal conditions)
