Daily sea surface temperature

Weekly sea surface temperature trend

The Marine and Coastal Resources Research and Development Institute, Department of Marine and Coastal Resources, has monitored Sea Surface Temperature (SST) daily by using the GHRSST Level 4 OSTIA Global Foundation Sea Surface Temperature Analysis dataset (UK Met Office, 2005) which was produced by the Meteorological Office of the United Kingdom (UK Met Office) and provided publictly through Physical Oceanography Distributed Archive Center (PODAAC). To have SST displayed in map, the temperature is classed into multiple ranges on a color scale which are displayed on the right of the above figure. Typically, water temperature above 30.5oC is considered a threshold for coral in the Thai waters to be influenced by thermal stress.
